The purpose of student ministry at WBF is to help equip middle and high school students to grow in the knowledge and holiness of God so that they own their own faith.
On the foundation of sound doctrine and theology shaped at our worship gatherings and various other ministries, we endeavor to:
Build character, spiritual maturity and responsibility in our students
Reinforce the role and authority of parents and Godly family structure
Help our students develop their own genuine relationship with Christ and understand their vital role in the life of the church
Our goal is a vibrant and fun fellowship, in an environment of loving and caring relationships, encouraging each other to grow and persevere in the faith with reverence for God and His word. Our priority is a well-balanced approach to spiritual growth, to train the next generation to walk the walk and to talk the talk - all for God's glory!
We consider our high school students to be our youngest adults, based on the Biblical principle that adulthood and responsibility begin in the teen years. With each passing year, we’re seeing more and more middle and high school students involved in the worship team on Sunday mornings, learning deacon’s duties, organizing outreach projects and serving on various ministry teams.
Students meet on Wednesday nights for worship and a message, followed by discussion groups. There's also time for fun and fellowship. Some of our students are homeschooled, while others attend public and private schools. All are welcome!
In addition to Wednesday night fellowship, students also participate in the life of the church, as members of the worship team, helping out in the sound booth, organizing church events and aiding our children's ministry from the nursery on up.
For Sunday School, middle andh high schoolers engage in a Bible-based curriculum that addresses the issues they face at school and at home, all the while preparing them for the next step in their lives.
